What do you do outside of training? I have recently returned to Canberra from spending 3 and half years aboard the Sea Shepherd vessels. My role was a marine engineer; currently I am working a contract at the Film and Sound Archives in Audio Services.
What has been the greatest adventure of your life? The greatest adventure was joining the crew aboard the Sea Shepherd ships. The MY Bob Barker, the MY Steve Irwin and MY Sam Simon. I have sailed in some intimidating situations in the interest of marine conservation. Whilst at sea I have been in a mayday situation, navigator of a small boat crew and witnessed an illegal poaching vessel sink off the west coast of Africa.
What has been your ultimate achievement? Volunteering in Costa Rica on a turtle conservation project, and being a crew member aboard the Sea Shepherd ships, I consider my ultimate achievements.
If you were Prime Minister of Australia, what would be the first thing you would change? If I was the Prime Minister of Australia I would end the live animal export trade.
Why did you start doing muay thai? I started training at Chopper Muay Thai to improve my fitness, coordination and wellbeing.
Do you want to fight? Why or why not? I don’t plan to fight at this point but we'll see what happens in the future.
Describe the people who train with you? The people I train with at Chopper are a great team, always offering technique advice, support and help push me when I am starting to fade.
